Make My Blinds Price Comparison - March 2020

Here at Make My Blinds, we make some bold claims – like all of our blinds come with a 4-year guarantee, that they are made to measure and that we’re genuinely helpful on the phone (that one you’ll need to call us to test!). But with certain things, like our claim of ‘save up to 70% off high street prices’ we need to have a little bit more documentation available to comply with regulating bodies, and also to prove in writing to anyone reading/complaining, that we are cheaper. We will be continuously updating this page as we compare against other retailers across the country, including major retailers like John Lewis, Dunelm and B&Q. But also against high street independents across the coutry to give a broad overview of retailers in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. 

 

Our Claim – Save up to 70% off high street prices.

So for us to claim that our prices are ‘up to 70% cheaper than on the high street’, we actually need to prove that, which seems fair to us. So, what do we mean by ‘High-Street’, well we are comparing our made to measure blinds against retailers who also sell made to measure blinds, but are found on the high street. This is not their online price, but the price found in a physical retail store. We are not comparing pre-built blinds, as that is not what we sell.

 Each month we price match like for like products available from high street retailers.

The sizes chosen in this comparison are not super small, nor super large. We have tried to be fair in choosing standard sizes windows. For example, 60cm wide x 180cm long for the vertical blind is a single patio door. A 120x 120cm roller blind is a typical window.  As all of our blinds are made to measure and each window differs in size we have tried to be as fair as possible by not choosing strange sizes like 35cm x 35cm or 250cm wide x 40cm drop.
